The Perge-Aspendos-Side tour was an absolute highlight of our trip. In Perge, we were impressed by the well-preserved ruins, especially the stadium and the baths. Our guide told us about the founding of the city after the Trojan War and led us down the main street with its columns. In Aspendos, we were overwhelmed by the amphitheater, which could hold 15,000 spectators and is still in remarkable condition today. The acoustics there are phenomenal; it’s easy to imagine how performances once took place there. Side offered us a picturesque view of the sea, and the Temple of Apollo at sunset was simply magical.
